It’s no secret… with ever-growing demand for our already strained healthcare system, it’s harder and harder to get in front of your GP these days. Local GP’s are too often over-worked, with too many patients and too little time to give them the care they probably wish they could.

As a result, you’ve doubtless seen the slew of “digital GP” services cropping up (such as Babylon) and maybe you’ve even considered taking out a monthly subscription to have access to one of these services, giving you that peace of mind that if something happens to you or a member of your family, you can get the advice and treatment you need, with minimal delays.

However (you may have already been here yourself) many potential customers are put off doing this by the price. Babylon currently comes in at £149 per year (or there is an option at £49 per consultation*).

What you perhaps didn’t know, is that a large number of Life Insurance providers now offer these “digital GP” services for FREE as part of your policy, and though some insurers have a more attractive offering than others, by and large most of these free digital GP add-ons are really quite appealing.

What do the insurers “digital GP” services give you?

The insurers generally offer the following services when you take out a policy, and below we have listed the insurers who offer these different services.

How can I make sure the policy I take out includes a “Digital GP” service?

Here at Blue Light Insurance we are ‘whole of market’. Unlike many other insurance brokers this means we have access to the vast majority of UK insurers, and this includes a large number who offer “digital GP services” as part of their offering.

When you are speaking to your adviser, if you want to make sure your Life Insurance includes a “digital GP” package for no extra cost, then simply let them know and they will make sure they find you an option that includes it.

Simple as that!
